Alison Brie, Dave Franco Share Decade-Old Audio Recording Ahead ‘Somebody I Used To Know’ Trailer Release
Alison Brie and Dave Franco are giving fans a glimpse of their relationship years before they tied the knot.
On Wednesday, the 40-year-old actress took to Instagram a video of herself alongside her 37-year-old husband talking about their new and upcoming film, “Somebody I Used To Know,” which they co-wrote. They shared that the official trailer for the material will drop tomorrow before going on about “feeling nostalgic” about their latest collaboration.
Franco says in the clip how “the whole thing just has us feeling nostalgic for when we first met and we found an old voice recording from 10 years ago.”
He continues that the audio is “real,” adding that Brie was “expressing her love for me” at the time of the recording. He also notes that he saved the clip in his phone as “Alison drunk.”
The audio recording plays subsequently in the video, showing photos of Dave Franco and Alison Brie over the years.
People, in its report covering the social media update, noted that the actor can be heard asking his now-wife about the things she was saying as she continues to mumble to him.
At one point in the recording, the two personalities were said to be giggling as the “Now You See Me” actor asks the “Community” actress, “What are you talking about?”
The audio clip later comes to an end, with Brie telling Franco, “Him and somebody else," as per the magazine.
The Instagram post has amassed more than 51,500 likes. It has also received over 440 comments, with netizens expressing their adoration for the celebrity couple.
In the caption, Alison Brie wrote, “Now playing: alisondrunk.mp3” alongside a smiling face with sunglasses emoji. She also noted, “The trailer for #SomebodyIUsedToKnow drops tomorrow.”
People noted elsewhere in its report, published Wednesday, that “Somebody I Used To Know,” which Dave Franco directed, follows the life of Alison Brie’s character, Ally, a workaholic who spends time with her former boyfriend upon returning to her hometown.
The magazine continued that the reunion has Ally questioning her life’s choices over the years, adding that the character’s life faces more confusion when she meets a younger woman who resembles the person she used to be.
“Somebody I Used To Know,” which will debut exclusively on Prime Video, marks a new collaboration between the “Five-Year Engagement” actress and the “Nerve” actor. They previously worked on “The Rental,” along with Black Bear Pictures, with him directing and her starring, according to Deadline.
Meanwhile, Dave Franco and Alison Brie reportedly kept most of their romance far from the spotlight.
Us Weekly shares in a report, though, that the two personalities began dating in 2012 and got engaged in 2015. Two years later, they tied the knot in a low-profile wedding.
