Katie Holmes is reportedly single again eight months after she and Bobby Wooten III first became an item.

An unnamed source told Life & Style that Holmes and Wooten III decided to go their separate ways after realizing that they are on different wavelengths.

“They broke up mid-December. She’s no longer talking about him to her friends,” the source said.

The insider claimed that Wooten III was more certain of the direction that he wanted their relationship to go, unlike Holmes.

“They were just on different wavelengths. Bobby was ready to take their relationship to the next level, but Katie wasn’t feeling it and thought it best not to lead him on any longer,” the source said.

Last year, Entertainment Tonight was the first to report about Holmes finding a new love interest after the actress and Wooten III were spotted kissing each other in New York City.

“Katie and Bobby have been dating for a few months and it’s been going great. Both Katie and Bobby are low-key and easygoing. The two are busy with their own things, Katie acting and being a mother and Bobby with his music, recently playing at Coachella, so they cherish the time they get together. Although they haven’t been dating too long, they’re really into each other,” the source said.

Since then, Holmes and Wooten III have made several public appearances with each other. Us Weekly also revealed in June 2022 that Holmes and Wooten III already met each other’s families and there was so much love among everyone.

Entertainment Tonight also claimed that Wooten III got along great with Holmes’ daughter, Suri Cruise.

“Suri has always been Katie’s number one priority. She has the utmost respect for her daughter and is really conscientious about who she introduces her to. Suri is 16, she’s grown up in the spotlight, Katie knows better than to have it so that Suri reads about a relationship in the tabloids,” the source said.

But just a few months later, Us Weekly confirmed that Holmes and Wooten III have decided to go their separate ways. A source said that the exes just didn’t work out together in the long run. But it’s unclear if there’s some bad blood between them.

For now, both Holmes and Wooten III are healing their hearts.
