Cher’s family is allegedly planning to put an end to her relationship with Alexander “AE” Edwards.

Heat UK, in its Jan. 20 issue, claimed that Cher’s entire family doesn’t support her relationship with the much younger guy. After all, they are convinced that Edwards doesn’t have clean intentions.

“They found the whole thing extremely bizarre when it first started but buried their heads in the sand and assumed it would peter out, once their mom saw sense,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Cher’s children initially thought their mom and Edwards’ relationship would simmer down naturally. But when it didn’t, they couldn’t help but be more concerned.

“Now that it’s very apparent he’s in for the long haul, it makes Chaz and Elijah so nervous. They know their mom’s as headstrong as ever, but they figure urgent action is needed before she potentially ends up hurt or humiliated,” the source said.

Cher’s son allegedly wants to try and stop their mom from making the biggest mistake of her life. However, Cher refused to listen to their reasons.

“Cher won’t hear reason – they can’t even bring Alexander up in conversation without her getting defensive. They aren’t just concerned about the age gap – it seems Cher is also footing the bill for dates and has been showering Alex with jewelry, and designer clothes, and take away from Nobu. Chaz and Elijah are worried that he is taking advantage,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Cher’s children are worried about her and her relationship with Edwards.

There’s no indication that Cher is being used by Edwards or that the latter is just in a relationship with the singer because of all the benefits.

All these claims were just concocted by the tabloid to make it seem as though Cher and Edwards’ relationship isn’t as serious as it seems. But the fact of the matter is, it is.

It is also important to note that Cher’s children have not once expressed any concern about their mom’s dating life. This proves that they support their mom’s relationship and want nothing more than for her to be happy.

Cher and Edwards’ have also been dating for quite some time which makes their relationship seem for keeps.
