Prince William is a protective husband to his wife, Kate Middleton.

In its Dec. 26 issue, New Idea claimed that Prince William immediately phoned Prince Harry after watching Harry & Meghan on Netflix last week.

A source claimed that the Prince of Wales wanted to clear the air with the Duke of Sussex over some of the things he said about Middleton.

“The word from William’s camp is that he called Harry directly to have it out with him, especially with what was insinuated about Catherine. Apparently, it only lasted about seven minutes or so and Harry refused to back down,” the source said.

The source added that Prince William did not expect that Prince Harry would go this hard on the royal family. And he also did not expect that his younger brother would allow his wife, Meghan Markle to trash Middleton in the documentary.

“Harry allowed Meghan to trash Kate as formal, which was bad enough, but the series also trashed the Commonwealth and everything their granny dedicated her life to as a racist institution,” the source said.

However, a second source claimed that no matter how angry Prince William might be at Prince Harry, he will always be his younger brother. So, it’s only a matter of time before they hash things out.

“William wouldn’t even be able to look at Harry because he’s so disgusted, but at the same time, everyone around him knows now to outwardly slam Harry. Despite his own feelings of disappointment, Wills won’t hear a bad word about Harry from anyone else. So, it’s nice there is at least one part of their sibling bond that hasn’t been broken yet,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Prince William phoned Prince Harry after watching Harry & Meghan. And even if he did, no one knows for sure what the brothers talked about.

There’s also no indication that Prince William is upset with Prince Harry because of the things he and Markle said about him and Middleton. Since this isn’t the first time that the Sussexes lashed out at the royal couple and the royal family, it’s unlikely for Prince William to have been surprised.
