Jessica Ciencin Henriquez Says Josh Lucas Cheated On Her During Quarantine
Jessica Ciencin Henriquez, the ex-wife of Josh Lucas, said the American Psycho actor cheated on her during quarantine, adding that she was under an impression that they had reconciled at the time. On May 30, Writer Henriquez took to Twitter to vent out her frustration on Lucas, whom she described as a really bad person who cheats on his partner amid a pandemic.
Even after their divorce was finalized back in 2014, Lucas and Henriquez remained close, but the Ford V Ferrari star seems to have unpleasantly ended their relationship. As expected, Henriquez publicly accused her ex-husband of cheating in her tweet that read "Exes are exes for a reason."
The aforesaid tweet was accompanied by a Notes screenshot that having a child with someone encourages you to forgive them beyond your capabilities to forgive, making you believe they are better than they actually are. She wrote it takes a really bad person to cheat on their partner while the world is combating a pandemic. She thanked Lucas for reminding her why she left her.
Further in the tweet, she claimed she deserved better than this, and their son deserves better than this. Henriquez attributed her decision to air this publicly because she realized that there are several women who accept less than what they deserve only because there's a kid in the picture. She wanted to let these women know they aren't unwise to believe that these people can change.
Lucas and Henriquez tied the wedding knot in Mar. 2012, but have been on and off since after the Colombian-American writer filed for divorce in Jan. 2014. A source close to the actor debunked rumors about them getting back together. The unnamed source denied that they have rekindled their romance while quarantining together.
The source told People that Lucas and Henriquez have not been together for a long time and they have been co-parenting their son since their divorce in 2014. While they were both in California, they weren't living together and have no intention of reconciling. The former couple has been bird nest co-parenting their son Noah, who was just 1 at the time of their splitting.
As part of bird nest co-parenting, they moved around the same house while their son stayed put. The rumor mill has been churning out their reunion speculations since their official split as they continued attending several events together with Noah. They shifted to Bali last year so that Noah could attend a special environmentally conscious school.
