Drew Barrymore Reveals She’s Dating Again After Worrying Over Becoming ‘Too Good At Being Alone’
Drew Barrymore has returned to the dating scene after many years of staying single.
People said in a recent report that the 47-year-old actress revealed the latest on her love life in Thursday’s episode of her “The Drew Barrymore Show.” As noted, it comes after she welcomed Whoopi Goldberg as her guest on the show, where, at one point, they talked about dating and relationships.
The “50 First Dates” actress is said to have begun the conversation about the matter when she recalled herself and the EGOT winner being single when they last sat together on the show. She then asked the 67-year-old celebrity whether she is dating now, as per the magazine.
Drew Barrymore is said to have subsequently admitted that she is dating today, telling Whoopi Goldberg, “I am,” before stating, “Because it had been so many years.”
The “Blended” actress continued to explain during the engagement that she “started to get a little worried,” noting, “like I’m too good at being alone,” as per the outlet.
People shared in the same report, published Thursday, that this seemingly led the “Sister Act” star to give Barrymore some advice about dating again. As stated, it especially came after the latter asked the former whether she would consider getting back on the dating scene.
Goldberg responded, “For good, no,” before saying, “Maybe a hit-and-run is a better way to go, for now, until you say to yourself, ‘Now I really want someone to just be part of this,” as per the outlet.
The “View” co-host is also said to have added, “Right now, that may not be what you’re looking for, which is probably why you’re doing fine.”
Reports said that Drew Barrymore had not had relationships since she and Will Kopelman parted ways after four years of marriage in 2016. The former couple finalized their divorce after announcing their split weeks prior.
At the time, Page Six learned from sources that the two personalities “both wanted the divorce done expeditiously,” adding that “they didn’t want a messy divorce.”
The publication said in the same report, published in August 2016, that Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman never had to show up in court during the divorce proceedings as the filing was uncontested. It explained then that the former couple had no issues or arguments over their assets or custody.
The “Intern” actor and the “Charlie’s Angels” star reportedly first sparked dating rumors in 2011. One year later, they announced their engagement, with a source telling People at the time that the then-couple “are very happy together.”
Kopelman and Barrymore tied the knot in June 2012, three months before welcoming their first child. They had their second child in April 2014.
