Prince Harry and Meghan Markle allegedly have a new goal and that is to become richer than Prince William and Kate Middleton.

A source told Heat UK that Markle, in particular, has been busy trying to forge connections that can help her reach her goal of becoming a billionaire.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also set to receive an award at New York’s Ripple of Hope gala. The event is reportedly the perfect opportunity for Prince Harry and Markle to rub elbows with other high-profile individuals.

“Obviously, proceeds from this event will be going to charity, but the networking opportunities that come from being top of the guest list are endless. And Meghan will no doubt take full advantage of the chance to make connections that will not only be very financially beneficial to them but will also allow them to boost their profile even more in the charity sector,” the source said.

The source added that even though Markle already quit her royal duties a long time ago, it’s obvious that she doesn’t have plans to give up her royal connections.

“Meghan will never give that up. By the middle of next year, she imagines she and Harry could be on their way to becoming billionaires, especially if they get to keep their HRH titles,” the source said.

And despite everything that’s happened, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still confident with what they have done and what they can offer.

“Meghan and Harry firmly believe they’re stars in their own right and that they’d continue to pull in the big bucks even without using their royal ties or titles. But, for Harry, it is his birthright. And for Meghan, it’s a no-brainer to refer to herself as a duchess, which sounds hugely impressive to the people they’re working with,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s unclear what the tabloid’s issue is with Prince Harry and Markle. After all, they were the ones who were invited to attend the event because they are the recipients of a prestigious award.

If not for the invitation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wouldn’t have gone there just to rub elbows with other high-profile individuals.
