Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth have been sparking rumors that they could be divorcing.

According to Woman’s Day, Witherspoon is worth so much more compared to Toth. In fact, the couple is estimated to fight over Witherspoon’s $500 million fortune.

But a source said that if Witherspoon and Toth decide to end their marriage, the former wouldn’t agree to split everything between her and her husband 50/50.

After all, the Big Little Lies star has more properties and assets compared to Toth.

“While California law might dictate a 50/50 split of assets, insiders maintain Reese won’t roll over when it comes to fighting for her seriously impressive empire, which on top of a money-making film production company and book club, includes an opulent collection of houses,” the tabloid claimed.

Earlier this month, Radar Online published a story about Witherspoon and Toth claiming that they are on the brink of a split because both parties stopped putting in the work.

And since the couple has been living their separate lives, Witherspoon has been spending most of her time working on growing her company, while Toth stays at home.

“That’s just one of the big problems Reese has with her marriage. She’s on the go, all the time, and super-driven – which Jim used to be, but not anymore. He’s more content on his own, out of the spotlight. They’re growing apart at an alarming rate,” the source said.

The source added that Witherspoon’s success is taking a toll on Toth’s ego because he just doesn’t have anything to offer his wife and family.

“His ego took a huge knock. He went from being a Mr. Big in Hollywood to a failure, and it changed him. Now, he’s found himself at a loose end while his wife goes from strength to strength,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Witherspoon and Toth are on the brink of a split. And it’s also not true that Toth isn’t doing anything to contribute to his family.

The tabloid seems to still be criticizing Toth over his decision to sell his company during the pandemic. But he wouldn’t have done it without Witherspoon’s approval. This proves that the tabloid is just making up stories about the couple.
