Jennifer Lopez has allegedly been forcing Ben Affleck to direct her movie.

According to National Enquirer, Lopez knows that Affleck has the ability to direct movies that receive the Oscars. And since she hasn’t received this recognition, Lopez wants to make sure that she and Affleck can finally make it happen.

“Jen has been in blockbuster films but what she really wants is an Oscar that’s going to earn her respect in the acting community. Ben has a track record for directing films such as Argo, Gone Baby Gone, and The Town that get Oscar nominations – and Jen wants in on that,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Lopez is still reeling from the fact that she didn’t score an award for her performance in the 2019 movie Hustlers. And when Lopez and Affleck starred in their first movie together, it also failed to capture the hearts of the audience.

“That left a bad taste in Ben’s mouth, and he’s not sure the public will embrace the idea of the two of them working together. But Jen feels if Ben is just directing her – not starring alongside her – they can make film magic,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Lopez is desperate to win an Oscar. Even though she hasn’t been recognized with one, Lopez already has plenty of awards.

It’s not also true that Lopez is putting this kind of pressure on Affleck while refusing to star alongside him in a movie. All these claims were just concocted to make it seem as though there are tensions between the happy couple.

And it is important to note that this isn’t the first time that Lopez and Affleck found themselves at the center of rumors and speculations.

For instance, there was a time when the A-listers were rumored to be breaking up. After all, Lopez allegedly has some unresolved issues with Jennifer Garner.

There were also previous claims suggesting that Lopez has been trying to change Affleck because she couldn’t accept him fully.

However, none of these claims have been proven to be accurate. And as of late, Lopez and Affleck are still happily married to each other.
