Christina Applegate No Longer Looks Stunning After Her 40-Pound Weight Gain? Here’s The Truth
Christina Applegate recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis or MS.
The diagnosis caused Applegate to gain 40 pounds and she has also been using walking sticks and a wheelchair on the set of Dead to Me.
According to National Enquirer, Applegate’s illness resulted in her no longer looking as stunning as she once was when she starred in Married With Children.
“Christina’s mobility is severely limited and she must use a cane to walk because her balance is so off-kilter. This is a girl who used to sweat it out at the gym every day, doing cardio and jumping around, but it hurts to move now and she’s put on at least 40 pounds from lack of exercise,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that friends and family of Applegate noticed that she has also been eating more than usual. And she’s using food as her means to cope with her illness psychologically. As a result, the majority of her clothes no longer fit her.
“Everyone is extremely concerned but no one wants to do or say anything that will make it worse for her,” the source said.
Luckily, Applegate is blessed to be surrounded by her supportive friends and loved ones.
“She’s getting the best care and support. Who knows, maybe with better research and breakthroughs there will be a cure someday. That’s not to say Christina doesn’t have bad days, but she always comes back fighting. She’s not about to lie down and die over this. She has too much to live for,” the source said.
While it is true that Applegate has been diagnosed with MS and that she also gained a considerable amount of weight, the other details about her personal life remain unknown.
For instance, no one knows for sure how many clothes still fit her and how many clothes don’t fit the actress anymore. And this also seems trivial.
It’s not also true that Applegate has been drowning her sadness by consuming more amounts of food that’s why she gained weight. It is possible that her medications are causing her to eat more and gain more.
But at the end of the day, the actress’s fans should just support her as she battles through MS and not criticize her because of how she looks.
