Cheryl is allegedly fuming at her ex and baby daddy, Liam Payne.

For weeks, Cheryl and Payne allegedly hung out and spent as much time as they could with their son, Bear. So, Cheryl thought that there was hope for her and Payne to reconcile.

But a source told Closer UK that Cheryl was surprised when Payne posed for photos with Kate Cassidy on Halloween. The rumored couple even attended a Halloween party as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.

The tabloid’s source alleged that Cheryl was blindsided by Payne’s decision to date Cassidy because all along she thought that the One Direction singer was taking steps to get back together with her.

“Cheryl had no idea Liam was dating again and only found out when she saw the pictures like everyone else. While he hasn’t done anything wrong and is free to date who he likes, it left her feeling hurt and betrayed given she assumed he would have told her rather than keep her in the dark over something like that,” the source said.

The source said that Cheryl immediately knew that Payne and Cassidy’s relationship is serious because they put so much thought into their costumes.

“And given how close they’ve become over the last few months, she’s started to question the authenticity of their relationship and began to wonder what else he could be hiding about his personal life,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Cheryl was blindsided by Payne’s decision to date because the two broke up a long time ago.

Cheryl and Payne decided to stay amicable with each other for the sake of their child, but this didn’t mean that they were interested in getting back together.

As of late, there’s also no confirmation that Payne and Cassidy are dating. After all, even friends could dress up as couples on Halloween. So, instead of speculating on their relationship or the lack thereof, it’s best to just wait for Payne or Cassidy to confirm their real status.

After all, Payne has not shied away from confirming his relationships in the past. And even if he didn’t directly confirm it, more photos with Cassidy in the near future would reveal what the real score between them really is.
