Meghan Markle allegedly has plans to return to acting so that she could bag an Oscar.

In its Nov. 7 issue, Closer UK claimed that Markle is thinking of other ways how she can improve her reputation. And since she and Prince Harry are dealing with backlash from their recent projects, Markle figured that acting is something that she could be praised for.

“With all the backlash her other projects have been getting recently, acting has suddenly become a more appealing option for Meghan. She can’t seem to put a foot right with whatever she does, but she knows that she’s genuinely talented when it comes to acting. She thinks that with the right part, she could really make a splash and boost her brand by reminding people what a screen presence she has and make herself popular again,” the source said.

The source added that Markle has been in secret talks with studios and producers for possible projects that she could take part in. And even though she has been accused of being hypocritical and inconsistent, the source claimed that Markle couldn’t care less.

At the end of the day, her top priority is to ensure that she and Prince Harry’s brand will improve and live on.

“Meghan’s team has been worried that every endeavor Harry and Meghan have done so far comes across as virtue-signaling and it’s turning some people against them, especially those that see the couple as hypocritical do-gooders, talking about mental health one minute, and then dropping family bombshells the next, or talking about climate change while flying by private jet,” the source said.

Markle’s team already told producers in Hollywood that she would be open to taking on some roles as long as the payment will be competitive.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Markle has plans to return to acting so that she could bag an Oscar.

During a recent interview, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that acting is something that she will never do again.

She also claimed that some of her gigs reduced her to a bimbo and this is not what she wanted to do.

So, now that Markle has a platform to get her message across, it really seems unlikely for her to want to return to acting.
