Naomi Watts, Billy Crudup Hit The Pause Button On Their Wedding Plans As They Finalize Their Prenup: Rumor
Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup have allegedly been talking about their marriage plans. However, the couple decided to take a breather so that they can finalize their prenup first.
A source told Woman’s Day that attending their friend's wedding recently was what reminded Watts and Crudup that they also want to have a similar ceremony.
“She and Billy loved that wedding, and it rebooted their own abandoned nuptials after lockdowns. Everyone’s been expecting an invitation for months now, but it looks like things have completely stalled since the prenup came into play,” the source said.
However, Watts and Crudup have been together for quite some time but they never thought about getting a prenup until recently. In the past, the couple didn’t seem to care who owned what and how much the other had. But it seems this changed.
“It’s casting a shadow over every aspect of their great relationship. Billy swept her off her feet and by the end of that summer, they were living together. And it only got better than that. They began talking about marriage in 2019, and they were on track for a wedding in 2020 when Covid hit,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that the last thing that Watts wants is for her kids to be scared of commitment because this is what they saw from her growing up. So, once the details of their prenup are ironed out, they will immediately go back to planning their wedding again.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Watts and Crudup are busy ironing out a prenup. There’s no reason for the couple to come up with one when they are not even engaged yet.
And since there’s no engagement, it’s unlikely for Watts and Crudup to already be talking about marriage. It seems that their setup of just living together with a commitment has been working well for them.
So, there’s no reason for the couple to suddenly tie the knot just because that’s why their fans are asking them to do it.
At the end of the day, marriage is a huge step in any relationship. And admittedly, it may not be for everyone so it’s really up to Watts and Crudup to decide.
