Jamie Foxx’s ‘All-Star Weekend’ Co-Stars Refused To Help Him Promote His New Movie?
Jamie Foxx has allegedly been trying to get his film All-Star Weekend released, but it still hasn’t. It’s been five long years, but Foxx feels that his A-list co-stars are not helping him out.
According to National Enquirer, Foxx considers All-Star Weekend a passion project. So, he really did everything in his power to make sure that his fans would get to watch it. However, the producers who have seen the movie are not impressed.
“This has been Jamie’s passion project for five years now, and he called in every favor in the book to get his friends to take significant roles at reduced rates. But the film executives say it’s not very good and will be tough to place on streaming – let alone somehow get it into theaters,” the source said.
All-Star Weekend stars Robert Downey Jr. Gerard Butler, and Eva Longoria. But the three actors do not seem interested in helping Foxx with the release of their movie.
“Jamie is a veteran entertainer and Oscar winner who has been making hit movies for decades, which is why this mess has so many people reeling in disbelief. As of right now, no company has stepped up with an offer that will earn Jamie back the considerable investment he personally put into the movie. It’s not a good situation for something that was supposed to be a fun-loving romp,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Foxx is having a hard time selling his movie to a producer. Since Foxx has been in the industry for decades, he has a lot of contacts with producers and even directors so this shouldn’t be a problem for him.
It’s not also true that Foxx’s co-stars are refusing to help him promote their movie. After all, it is not their responsibility to promote the film. The actors will only be able to promote the movie once it already has a premiere date.
So, it’s obvious that the tabloid is just putting the blame on Foxx and his co-stars even if it’s not their fault.
The only possible reason why Foxx’s movie has not yet been bought is that there are also a lot of other movies and TV shows lined up for release on different platforms and even the theater.
