Taylor Swift Joins ‘Fall-Star Favorites’ Week For ‘Tonight Show’ Following ‘Midnight’ Release
Taylor Swift will be back on “The Tonight Show” for an interview with Jimmy Fallon. It will reportedly mark her first since making her last appearance on the show in 2021.
Entertainment Tonight said that the 32-year-old artist is among the celebrities who will be part of the show’s “Fall-Star Favorites” week. As stated, she will kick off the week-long special on October 24, which is days after the release of her new and upcoming album, “Midnights.”
The celebrity talk show host made the announcement Friday on social media, revealing Swift’s appearance. He appeared to have made a spoof of the singer’s TikTok series titled “Midnights Mayhem With Me,” with him using props similar to hers.
Jimmy Fallon began the announcement by using a bingo ball cage, similar to what the “Paper Rings” singer utilized in her TikTok series to reveal the titles of “Midnights” tracks.
In the video the celebrity host posted on Instagram late Thursday, he uses the said cage to “unveil” the “very exciting guests” he has for the show.
Upon getting a hold of a bingo ball with the number 24, noting that the interview would be on October 24, he uses a red telephone and says, “Hello,” to which a voice, likely Taylor Swift’s, responds, “Hey Jimmy.”
ET shared elsewhere in its report, published Friday, that the first interview for that week will also feature Meghan Trainer. As noted, she will close out the show with a special performance.
“The Tonight Show” is said to welcome Sigourney Weaver, as well, with Maren Morris and Zedd set to perform the following day.
As for its Wednesday schedule, Selena Gomez, a best friend to Taylor Swift, will make an appearance alongside Rose Byrne, while Millie Bobby Brown will join the “Fall-Star Favorites” week on October 27, as per the publication.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s upcoming appearance on “The Tonight Show” would be days after she released her tenth studio album, “Midnights.” She is set to drop the highly anticipated material on October 21.
Ahead of its release, the “You Belong With Me” singer already revealed the titles of the 13 tracks in the album. Through her “Midnights Mayhem With Me” series, which lasted for weeks, she unveiled song titles at random, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The publication noted that Swift has yet to name the lead single of the material. But, she has already revealed the artist, with whom she collaborated for a track in the album.
On Instagram, the “Lover” singer named Lana Del Rey as the collaborator and shared about the work they did for track four on “Midnights” titled “Snow On The Beach.”
In the video, she described the “Summertime Sadness” artist as "one of the best musical artists ever,” adding that it “is an honor and a privilege” to exist at the same time as the singer, according to a separate report from ET.
