Halle Berry is allegedly ready to walk down the aisle, but the same cannot be said about her partner, Van Hunt.

In its Oct. 17 issue, Globe claimed that Hunt doesn’t seem to have any plans to propose to Berry anytime soon so the actress is getting a bit impatient.

“She and Van are very much in love, but she’d like something more solid and he’s not moving it. It’s no secret she wants to move things to the next level and there’s only so long she’ll wait,” the source said.

“She definitely sees herself getting married again. But whenever the topic comes up, Van gets very aloof. She’d marry him in a heartbeat and he’s not up to it,” the source said.

One of Hunt’s alleged reasons for not wanting to propose to Berry just yet has to do with his fears of being caged again. But he allegedly understands why some people are urging him to pop the question.

“People wonder when they’re going to get hitched, and there’s no doubt he adores Halle. But she’s still waiting. The worry is she’s going to get frustrated,” the source said.

However, the tabloid also revealed that Berry and Hunt have only been dating for two years. And this could be the real reason why he hasn’t proposed.

It wouldn’t make sense for Berry and Hunt to rush into marriage if they’ve only been together for such a short period of time. While this may work for some couples, it may not necessarily work for the two.

But it is also important to note that there’s no indication that Berry has been urging Hunt to propose to her. Since the actress has already been married three times in the past, it wouldn’t also make sense for her to want to jump into marriage again.

Still, at the end of the day, the decision to tie the knot or not to tie the knot rests solely on the couple. And there’s no point speculating about it because Berry and Hunt decide to get engaged, they will most likely share the happy news with their family, friends, and fans.
