Nicole Kidman is allegedly reeling because her difficult past with Tom Cruise is being revisited these days by the controversial religion Scientology.

A source told New Idea that Kidman tried her best to bury her troubled relationship with Cruise. But it is suddenly making headlines due to claims that her phone conservations were tapped by Scientology leaders.

The source also claimed that Keith Urban’s wife is worried that the recordings will be released to the public that is if they really exist.

“If it were up to her, Nicole would have closed the door on the whole unsettling ordeal 20 years ago. It was a frightening time in her life, especially always wondering just how much she was spied on by Scientology. But she understands that having been married to one of the biggest stars on the planet who’s involved in an infamous religion that this sort of thing will pop back up from time to time,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Kidman couldn’t help but feel lucky because she has her husband by her side during this difficult time. And she wouldn’t want it any other way.

Rumors regarding Kidman’s alleged phone tape recordings first surfaced after former Scientologist Mike Rinder claimed that they exist. The former Scientology honcho claimed that the heads of his former religion were so worried about Kidman influencing Cruise to quit the church that’s why they tapped her phone.

“When Tom and Nicole divorced, Miscavige was happy that the negative influence of Nicole was no longer dragging Tom away. Cruise thereafter became more fervent in his vocal support for Scientology and Miscavige,” Rinder claimed.

Throughout the years, there have also been claims saying that Kidman did not support Scientology. And so she was looked down upon by the members of the church.

However, this may not necessarily be accurate. Kidman may have not supported Scientology because it is in conflict with her beliefs but she never said anything negative about the religion in public.

As of late, there’s also no confirmation that Kidman’s phone was really tapped years ago and that tapes exist, and that they could be released someday. All these claims are just made up by the tabloid and are not necessarily factual. They seem to be exaggerated to make it seem as though Kidman is worried.
