Miranda Lambert On Brendan McLoughlin’s Support Over Her Residency: ‘He Just Wants Us To Win’
Miranda Lambert had nothing but good words for her husband of more than three years, Brendan McLoughlin.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 38-year-old singer opened up how supportive her husband is, as well as about his role as her biggest fan, following the debut of her Las Vegas residency, "Velvet Rodeo."
Lambert shared that McLoughlin “has been awesome.” She noted that her husband “gives his notes” to her, adding that “it is so nice to have someone so supportive stand by [her] side.”
The “Palomino” artist continued that her 30-year-old husband “has a lot of opinions,” which she “cherishes” because “he is in it.” She stated, though, that “he is also on the outside of it,” considering that he is not part of the crew, so she takes his thoughts and opinions “to heart.”
During the sit-down exchange backstage at her Las Vegas residency, Miranda Lambert said she knows Brendan McLoughlin wants them “to win.” But, even though “he can be harsh sometimes,” she shared that he would tell her the truth, which is “what [she] loves about him.”
The country artist later revealed to the outlet that her husband suggests additions to her performances. She asserted that collaborating with him is “really fun.”
ET consequently quoted Lambert, explaining, “He’s kinda new to it, and I’ve been in it for so long. It’s my catalog we’re talking about, so sometimes I need outside ears to give me sort of new, fresh blood in the set and in my creative process.”
This is not the first time Miranda Lambert praised Brendan McLoughlin for his love and support.
In late June, the “Hell On Heels” singer shared an insight into her happy relationship with her husband for a cover feature in People magazine. As noted, she “has found the stability she has long craved" with the retired NYPD officer.
Lambert told the magazine that she wants to “open about how happy [they] are,” adding that she does not “give two s***s about people’s opinion” of her, her music, her marriage, “or anything else.”
She also shared that McLoughlin “jumped right into this lifestyle,” noting, however, that there is a “learning curve taking a New Yorker straight to the woods.”
Nevertheless, the country artist pointed out that “it is nice to have a partner in that, someone by your side that supports you, loves you, and believes in you.” She added, “He loves me for me” and “it is a really cool thing to have in my life, at this point in my life.”
Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin tied the knot in January 2019.
