Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston Competing With Each Over Because Of Their Respective TV Shows?
Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Aniston are allegedly competing against each other because of their TV shows. Aniston stars in The Morning Show, while Parker is part of And Just Like That.
In its Sept. 26 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Parker and Aniston both think that they are the best at what they do. So, they have always regarded each other as their biggest competition.
“It’s not secret Sarah Jessica and Jennifer are both career-driven, strong personalities who see each other as rivals. Let’s just say they wouldn’t seek each other out in a crowded room. Jennifer doesn’t think Sarah Jessica is such a big talent, while Sarah Jessica gives the impression Jen isn’t in her league,” the source said.
The source said that the two A-listers’ respective TV shows are on a collision course. After all, they will return for a new season this coming spring. And Parker and Aniston are both expecting that their shows will be number one.
“The goal is simple: to be the number one scripted streaming program for middle-aged women in the English-speaking world. This is literally the same battle for the attention they fought almost 20 years ago when Sex and the City and Friends were at their peak,” the source said.
However, the stakes are allegedly higher now because Aniston and Parker are starring in new shows. But their competition against each other carries on.
“They’re both drawn to situations where there’s a clear winner and loser and this is one of those situations,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Parker and Aniston are competing against each other. And there’s also no reason for them to compete because their shows do not air on the same streaming platform.
The Morning Show airs on Apple TV+ while And Just Like That airs on HBO Go. And even though both series will premiere in the spring, they won’t premiere on the same day.
The niche and genre of both series are also very different so Parker and Aniston do not have any reason to compete with each other in the first place. So, it’s obvious that the tabloid just came up with this storyline to pit the two actresses against each other.
