Kim Kardashian Says She’s ‘Not Looking’ For New Romance After Confirming Relationship Status
Kim Kardashian confirmed that she is “happily single.” But, despite not being in a relationship to date, she said she is “not looking” for anyone as she needs “some time” to herself.
The 41-year-old reality star shared her thoughts on a recent engagement with James Corden. She appeared on the latter’s “The Late Late Show,” which premiered on Thursday, according to Entertainment Tonight.
After confirming her relationship status, the talk show host asked Kardashian how she would find her next date. This led her to reveal that she is “not looking” these days, which is why she has not thought about it.
The SKIMS founder continued that she wants “to chill for a minute” from having relationships. She also noted that she needs “some time to [herself] to just focus, finish school, [and] all that.”
Even so, Kim Kardashian opened up about her thoughts on her future return to the dating scene. She stated that she feels like she has to do something, such as going to different places, for her “next route” because “clearly, it’s not working, whatever [she is] doing.”
The reality star also hinted at her potential future date, seemingly implying she is no longer interested in celebrities for her next partner.
ET quoted Kardashian, saying, “...maybe a hospital and meet a doctor, a law firm. I think it’s going to be, like, scientist, neuroscientist, biochemist, doctor, attorney, that’s maybe what I envision.”
The exchange with James Corden for his show came more than a week after the socialite’s cover feature for Interview Magazine surfaced. She briefly talked about her ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, in one part of the engagement.
Editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg initially told Kim Kardashian that there were some questions for her about men and suggested the “Saturday Night Live” alum as a cover star for the magazine.
In response to the statement, the “Kardashians” star said Davidson is a “cutie.” She also noted that her former partner is “literally such a good person,” adding that “they don't really make them like him anymore.”
She later added, “I’m excited for what he has coming up.”
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson surprised fans and followers after news broke that they had ended their romantic relationship. E! News was the first to report the split earlier in August.
Sources close to the two celebrities told the publication that the reality star and the comedian “decided to just be friends” after breaking up. It was also stated that the twosome’s demanding schedules and long-distance romance “made it really difficult to maintain [their] relationship.”
Nevertheless, the insiders noted that Davidson and Kardashian still have “a lot of love and respect for each other.”
