Gigi Hadid is enjoying her role as a mother to her 2-year-old daughter.

The 27-year-old model recently opened up about her child, whom she shares with her former partner, Zayn Malik. Apart from calling motherhood “fun,” she said her daughter is a “blessing.”

People said the celebrity’s assertions came as she appeared on “Sunday Today with Willie Geist.” She stated that her daughter is a “genius,” although she argued that it is likely “what everyone says about their kid.”

In the same exchange, the Guest In Residence founder noted that being a mother is “so much fun.” She continued that “the more that [her daughter] talks, and understands, and remembers, it just gets more and more fun," adding that her child is a "blessing."

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik welcomed their first child together in September 2020. News of their pregnancy first broke, though, in April, days after she celebrated her 25th birthday, according to Us Weekly.

The two celebrities announced the arrival of their daughter via their respective official social media accounts. They both also talked about being “in love” with their child upon birth through their posts.

Malik said on Twitter that the “love [he] feels for this tiny human is beyond [his] understanding.” As for Hadid, she stated that their daughter “has already changed [their] world” days after giving birth, adding that she is “so in love.”

More than one year later, however, the “PillowTalk” singer and the television personality ended their relationship, with sources claiming they decided to call it quits “after having problems for a while.”

But, despite no longer being together, reports said they have an “amicable” co-parenting relationship.

Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid has recently made headlines after multiple sources alleged that she and Leonardo DiCaprio have been hanging out, seemingly sparking speculations of a romance between them.

One insider told People Monday that the two celebrities are “getting to know each other,” while another claimed the “Inception” actor is “definitely pursuing” the model.

A third source later added that Hadid and DiCaprio “have been hanging out with groups of people.”

On Tuesday, Page Six released a similar report, detailing what other insiders asserted about the actor and the model, with the outlet calling them a “new couple.”

As reported, Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid were seen hanging out Saturday at an exclusive party amid the New York Fashion Week, adding that the two are already “plenty familiar” with each other.

An informant also told the publication that while the “Titanic” star was with his “guy friends,” the model was with her “model friends,” and “they were all hanging out at a table.”

Following all the rumors, though, Hadid and DiCaprio have yet to make official statements regarding the matter.
