Jay-Z is allegedly to blame for the lack of promotion and guesting ahead of the release of Beyonce’s new album.

According to National Enquirer, Beyonce didn’t have Jay-Z’s support to release a new album in the first place. But since the rapper couldn’t stop his wife from releasing an album, he just convinced her not to do promotions.

“Jay is the one who convinced Beyonce not to make appearances or do publicity to support the album. Where’s her TV sit-down interview or her primetime special like Adele? Jay thinks Beyonce is above all this – but she’s not. This is what happens when you start believing the people around you,” the source said.

As of writing, Beyonce’s new album has only sold less than 1 million copies, which is a surprise for someone as popular as Beyonce.

“That’s tons less than usual for one of the best-selling music artists of all time. In comparison, her 2016 album  Lemonade became certified three-times platinum, selling up to 3 million copies in the U.S. alone. Adding to the concern, industry insiders say, is how little radio play her seventh studio album is receiving,” the source said.

However, it’s unclear why the issues are being pinned on Jay-Z even if it wasn’t his album that was released recently. It seems that the tabloid couldn’t find anything negative to say about the rapper so this concocted this dubious storyline.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z made headlines recently after his name was dragged into a controversy involving Cara Delevingne.

Just recently, the model was photographed looking disheveled and wasted while she was at the airport. It was later revealed that she was supposed to ride Jay-Z’s private plane at a certain time but she arrived late and was later asked to get off the plane.

It’s unclear why Delevingne rode Jay-Z’s private plane, but she recently made an appearance with some of her A-list friends at an event.

There’s no indication that Jay-Z and Delevingne are close or that the two are even friends. So, it is possible that the model just rode Jay-Z’s private plane because they have common friends.

It is also important to note that Beyonce’s new album already earned 179 million streams since its release. So, even if it’s taking longer for Renaissance to rise up to the charts, it’s still possible that it would one of these days.
