Prince William and Kate Middleton reunited with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The royal fab four made a joint public appearance outside Windsor Castle to meet and greet local residents.

A royal insider told Page Six that it was the newly created Prince of Wales who extended the invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. As added, many are “very grateful” as both parties are “putting all things aside for the Queen.”

Saturday's outing marked the first public appearance of the two couples together since Commonwealth Day. Reports also said they arrived in the same car “in a show of unity” amid the alleged tensions and rifts, especially between the royal siblings.

The “emotional reunion” between Prince William and Prince Harry also reportedly revealed the latter’s thoughts were over the Queen’s passing. He was claimed to have told well-wishers outside Windsor Castle how things have become different following the loss of his grandmother.

The Duke of Sussex shared with mourners that “[it is] a lonely place up there now without her,” according to The Sun.

He also reportedly added that “every room she was in, [they] felt her presence throughout.”

The same outlet later noted that Meghan Markle “consoled” her husband during the reunion with the new Prince and Princess of Wales in Windsor. She was seen putting a “comforting arm” around the royal-born Prince as they grieved with the public.

Speaking to the publication, body language expert Judi James shared some insights into the Duchess of Sussex's actions during the outing.

The expert said it was "comforting" to see the former actress's "supportive touches on the back and partial hugs" for her husband, whom James deemed was "clearly upset" at the time.

The outing, alongside the reported sentiments, came after Prince William and Prince Harry returned to Windsor from Balmoral, while King Charles III to London in Buckingham Palace. They, alongside several other members of the British Royal Family, “rushed” to Queen Elizabeth II’s side in Scotland on Thursday before her death was announced.

While the new British Monarch and his two sons left for England the following day, other members, including Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, remained in Balmoral with the late Queen.

Entertainment Tonight said the Queen’s coffin traveled to Edinburgh from Balmoral on Sunday. As added, it will rest in the Throne Room of the Palace of Holyroodhouse until Monday afternoon.

The coffin will then travel from Scotland to the Royal Air Force Northolt in England on Tuesday.
