Emily Ratajkowski Reportedly Files For Divorce From Sebastian Bear-McClard Months After Split
Emily Ratajkowski has reportedly decided to dissolve her marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard legally.
Page Six reported that the 31-year-old celebrity has filed for divorce from her estranged husband. As noted, it came after the film producer allegedly cheated on her.
The publication shared that it has seen the court records, which reportedly show that Ratajkowski filed the legal documents in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday. It also added that the filing was “contested, meaning there are issues to be litigated.”
No official statements have yet to surface from both the “Gone Girl” actress’s attorney and Bear McClard’s rep. The outlet also said neither of the two camps immediately returned its request for comment.
Emily Ratajkowski and Sebastian Bear-McClard reportedly ended their relationship after four years of marriage in July, according to Us Weekly.
In its report at the time, the publication said the pair first sparked split rumors and speculations when the model had an outing in New York City without her wedding band the month prior. It also recalled that her two-diamond ring had been “conspicuously missing” from her posts on social media since February.
Following the reports, though, the “Cruise” actress and the “Uncut Gems” producer maintained their silence about their relationship. This was despite the outlet’s move to reach out to their respective reps for comment.
Earlier this week, however, Emily Ratajkowski seemingly confirmed her and Sebastian Bear-McClard’s split in a video on TikTok.
A separate report from Page Six said that the “My Body” author “dueted” a video from the same platform and explained how she relates to the sentiment the clip entails. As noted, it is about how “patriarchy does not give space for the existence of love,” with the celebrity later describing herself in the video as “a recently single person.”
The publication quoted Ratajkowski from the post, sharing, “under a patriarchy, there’s this premise of like men ‘getting women,’ like ‘getting them,’ ‘pulling them,’ like they’re something to possess.”
It continues, “Which I feel - as a recently single person who is thinking about dating and stuff - I’ve really seen that with my friends and with the conversations kind of around it.”
Sebastian Bear-McClard and Emily Ratajkowski shocked the public with their relationship.
Witnesses first spotted the two celebrities displaying affection on Valentine’s Day in 2018. Later that month, she announced her marriage on social media, according to Us Weekly.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Ratajkowski made her pregnancy known to fans and followers. She and Bear-McClard welcomed their child in March the following year.
