Jennifer Lopez is allegedly the one who wears the pants in her relationship with Ben Affleck.

In its Sept. 5 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Lopez is also the one who foots most of the bills at home and even when she’s out with her husband. This way, Affleck wouldn’t be able to complain if the Hustlers star wants to splurge on the things that she likes.

“Ben adores J.Lo, but she does have a taste for the finer things in life, and he has no interest in bankrolling her vanity and opulence. She’s having to fund most of the things they do because the guy doesn’t have deep pockets,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Lopez was the one who insisted on having a second wedding in Georgia. Affleck was allegedly content with their simple wedding in Las Vegas, but this wasn’t enough for his wife.

Meanwhile, the insider alleged that Lopez is also forcing Affleck to purchase a property in Beverly Hills, and this will be their home.

“They’ll put down at least 20 percent on a $60 million property in L.A., which is no small change. Then there’s that constant private jet travel, fancy vacations in paradise, and huge security and living expenses. On paper, Ben’s worth around $150 million, but cash flow is a different matter. J.Lo, on the other hand, is worth around $400 million,” the source said.

In order to make Lopez happy, Affleck allegedly put his home in the Pacific Palisades up for sale. And the money that he would get from selling the property will be used to pay for their new house in Beverly Hills.

“J.Lo’s fully expecting the big bucks to roll in once they form their own production company. But this will require funding and as successful as their careers are right now, there’s way more going out than coming in,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Affleck and Lopez have been feuding over their finances.

And even though Lopez is worth more than her husband, this doesn’t mean that she’s the one paying for most of their bills.

What’s more likely is for the newlyweds to be splitting everything between them for the sake of their children.
