John Travolta has not been taking the death of Olivia Newton-John easily.

According to National Enquirer, the Grease actor was caught by surprise by his co-star’s passing even though he’s aware that Newton-John has been battling cancer for years.

A source claimed that Travolta has been spiraling into a pit of despair ever since Newton-John passed away. And since he also just lost his wife, Kelly Preston two years ago, the actor no longer knows how to pick up the pieces.

“Friends are terrified that John may not have the strength to get through this latest tragedy – especially without Olivia to help him. He just wanders around the house weeping about how everyone has been taken from him,” the source said.

The source claimed that when Newton-John was still alive, she and Travolta relied on each other. So, now that she’s already gone, the actor really lost one of his strongest support systems.

“John helped her through the shock of her first cancer diagnosis in 1992, and Olivia supported him when they were cast together in Grease in 1978, just months after Diana died. Then Olivia rushed to John’s side when Jett died in 2009 and when Kelly died in 2020, somehow helping him navigate his bottomless grief. Everyone fears he might never bounce back,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Even though Travolta is mourning the death of Newton-John, it’s not true that he’s spiraling into a pit of despair.

If Travolta was able to move on and rise above the deaths of his son and wife then it’s even more likely for him to be able to get over Newton-John’s death.

By the looks of it, the tabloid just made up the story about Travolta struggling following Newton-John’s death even when he’s not. The actor has already been through so much that it’s unlikely for him not to be able to get over his friend’s death.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only rumor surrounding Travolta. In recent weeks, there have been claims that he and Tom Cruise are feeling lonely in Hollywood. But the A-listers are still somehow lucky because they have each other to lean on.

Travolta and Cruise allegedly share a unique bond with each other because they are both Scientologists.
