In an interview held in 2008 with Oprah Winfrey, Brad Pitt speaks about how his daughter Shiloh loves being called Peter or John. The reason she loves these two names is because of the Peter Pan movie by Disney productions. Pitt shared an interestingly cute incident when deliberately calls his little girl by her real name Shiloh, she immediately corrects her father and reminds them about being called John.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star further explained, whenever he asks her daughter “John, you would like some orange juice?” The little Pitt gives “NO!” for an answer, that Pitt finds pretty cute. He mentioned that this kind of name for a girl child might sound obnoxious to many but for parents it is something endearing.

American model Amber Rose soon after this interview addressed this young lady as "John" during the premiere in Los Angeles held for Unbroken. In fact, during an interview with Vanity Fair, Pitt's then-wife Angelina Jolie opened up about how her daughter carries a masculine style in her personality. Jolie talks about her daughter's love for slacks, jackets, and tracksuits.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith stars dress her to like boys instead as she loves it. They also cut short length hairstyles as she likes wearing boys' stuff. Interestingly, she considers herself to be one of the brothers in Pitt's family.

While many people criticized both the actors for their parenting style, Jolie defended herself by speaking about it with Daily Mail, in an interview candidly. Jolie went on record saying that there are other kids who love to wear capes and consider themselves Superman, similarly looking like her boy siblings is what she loves.

The Tourist actress doesn't feel there is any gender confusion as the couple got criticized for creating it, although they further explain how surprising and interesting it is for them as well. Apart from her looks, Jolie says that her daughter has much more to her personality - she is extremely pretty, sweet, and funny.

As per the reports, Brad and Jolie were planning before her birthday to throw the celebration party separately for their daughter as she turns 14-year-old today. Reportedly, Brad threw a grand party at his house for Shiloh while Jolie did the same at her place.
