Brad Pitt Keeps ‘Positive Attitude,’ Hopes To Reach Better Place With Children: Source
The alleged 2016 plane fight incident between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has made headlines once again. But, an insider stated that the actor is maintaining a “positive attitude” despite the newly revealed reports.
Speaking to People, a source claimed that the situation has been “sad” for years. It is also said that things “have been very difficult” for the “Ad Astra” star, adding that “many times, there have been long gaps where he didn’t see the kids at all.”
Even so, Pitt has reportedly been “focused on having the best relationship possible” with his and Jolie’s children since she filed for divorce.
The source continued that the “Fight Club” actor “misses the kids when he does not see them.” He reportedly believes that “there will be a time when he has a great relationship with his kids again.”
Elsewhere in the report, the publication quoted the insider, claiming, “[Brad Pitt] still has many good things going on in his life. He has a positive attitude.”
The informant’s assertions come after heavily redacted FBI documents, revealing more shocking details about the alleged heated fight between the then-couple in 2016, surfaced across media platforms.
In the documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the “Maleficent” actress reportedly accused her then-husband of physical assault aboard a plane. The “Snatch” star allegedly grabbed his then-wife by the head and shoulders and yelled, “You’re f***ing up this family.”
The publication, in its piece covering the documents in question, said that the redacted report also alleges Brad Pitt punched the ceiling of the plane four times. Moreover, the actor allegedly poured beer, as well, on Jolie while she was under a blanket with their children.
Reports noted, though, that the "Bullet Train" star was cleared by the FBI, with no charges, after the conclusion of the investigation. Also, the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services concluded its investigation with "no findings of abuse," per People.
Neither of the two celebrities has released official statements about the matter.
Meanwhile, a source close to Brad Pitt spoke to People following the emergence of the reports. As stated, he and Angelina Jolie have had the documents in question for six years, adding that the actress likely meant to “revive an issue that was painful for everybody and was resolved six years ago.”
The magazine later quoted the insider, claiming, “What are the motivations of a person to take up court time and public resources in filing an anonymous FOIA request for material they have had for years? There’s only one: to inflict the most amount of pain on her ex.”
It continues, “There is no benefit to this. It is harmful to the children and the entire family for this to be made public.”
Elsewhere in the publication’s piece, the same source added that the document in question is “not a factual” one.
As explained, “this is what [Jolie] claimed happened,” noting that “it was investigated and there were no charges brought. It’s standard for these types of things to not be released.”
