Prince William, Kate Middleton To Relocate To Windsor Following Children’s School-Change Announcement
Prince William and Kate Middleton will soon reside nearby Queen Elizabeth II. Reports confirmed that the royal couple and their three children will relocate to Adelaide Cottage.
BBC said the Cambridge Royals’ new home is only a ten-minute walk from Windsor Castle. It is where the British Monarch currently resides.
The publication also noted that the relocation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridges “underlines the strength and importance of the relationship” between the future King and his grandmother.
It added that the link “grows in significance” as the Queen relies more on Prince Charles and Prince William “for their advice on the issues facing the monarchy” and the rest of the British Royal Family.
The latest report about the relocation from London to Windsor comes as a Kensington Palace release announces the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children’s change of school in the coming school year.
The announcement, which surfaced on Monday, notes that the three young Cambridge Royals will join Lambrook School in Berkshire next month.
People quoted the release, writing, “Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas’s Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children which shares a similar ethos and values.”
The magazine later said that the Headmaster at Lambrook School, Jonathan Perry, also shared a statement regarding the matter.
“We are delighted that [Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children] will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community.”
Meanwhile, an insider told The Mirror that it was the future King and Queen Consort’s children “who led the decision” to relocate from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage. Although, the source reportedly noted that the move also fits with the royal couple’s “desire” for their children to have the “most normal” start possible.
The outlet quoted the unnamed informant, claiming, “This is very much a decision that two parents have made to give their children the ‘most normal’ start possible. [Kensington Palace] can be a little bit of a fishbowl.”
It continues, “[Prince William and Kate Middleton] wanted to be able to give [their children] a bit more freedom than they have living in central London. It is very much a decision that has been led by the kids.”
