Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Face Backlash Over Claims That They Will Stage Their Second Honeymoon, Renewal Of Vows For Netflix
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing backlash over ongoing rumors that they will be filming a reality TV show or documentary for Netflix. And one of the things that will be featured in their show is their second honeymoon and renewal of vows.
But in its Aug. 29 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that royal fans are not excited to see Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship unfold before their very eyes especially since it seems that things are just staged.
A source claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex seem to be having a problem with the streaming platform and the fact that they might have overpromised Netflix content that they couldn’t even produce.
“Meghan and Harry have a real problem here. Either they’ve overpromised to Netflix, or Netflix overestimated just how much access they’d have to the royal family now they’re out on their own. The main interest with the Sussexes is an inside look at the queen and other family members,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that Prince Harry and Markle have seemingly returned to Hollywood empty-handed, so they want to come up with content that they know would be a big hit. However, they might figure out sooner rather than later that their plans are not that exciting after all.
“They appear to have come back to Hollywood empty handed of any footage or photos relevant to what their bosses need. The fact that we haven’t seen any promotion from this partnership, even though it was announced almost two years ago, is very telling,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There’s no proof that Prince Harry and Markle are planning to exchange their vows again or have a second honeymoon privately. And it’s even more unlikely for the couple to be planning something for the entire world to see.
Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that they decided to tie the knot in private three days before their royal wedding. After all, the highly-publicized event was a spectacle for the entire world to see.
So this means that Prince Harry and Markle would already have three weddings in a span of four years, and this might not necessarily be the case.
Also, the couple just tied the knot in 2018, so it might be too soon for them to exchange their vows.
