Donald Trump Accused Of Being A Hypocrite After Pleading The Fifth But Saying That Only Mobs Hiding Facts Do So
Donald Trump has been dubbed a hypocrite for pleading the fifth in relation to the ongoing investigations regarding the Trump Organization.
But National Enquirer pointed out that in 2016, an arrogant Trump slammed those that plead the fifth and accused them of hiding something.
At the time, Trump claimed that only mobs plead the fifth. The ex-POTUS claimed that if someone is innocent then there’s a reason for them to plead the fifth.
But this month, he surprised his supporters and critics when he decided to plead the fifth regarding the ongoing investigation. He tried to defend his decision by saying that his company and family could be in danger if he reveals important information related to the investigation.
“I once asked, ‘If you’re innocent, why are you taking the fifth?’ Now, I know the answer to that question. When your family, your company, and all the people in your orbit have become the targets of an unfounded, politically motivated witch hunt,” he said.
But a source for the tabloid said that Trump wouldn’t always be allowed to plead the fifth. In fact, it’s only a matter of time before he would be forced to answer tough questions.
“With multiple investigations bearing down on him, Trump is certainly going to be busy over the next few months. And there may be some difficult questions, which he can’t answer by pleading the fifth,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Trump also made headlines recently amid claims that he and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner had a falling out.
According to reports, Kushner did not support Trump’s previous campaign for president. So, it became clear to the former leader that Kushner just attached himself to him because he was the president of the United States.
But after his term was over, Kushner started distancing himself from his father-in-law.
However, Trump is not one to keep a secret. So, if he’s not on good terms with Kushner, he would’ve already dropped hints during his interviews or even through his spokesperson.
The fact that Trump has not said anything negative about Kushner means the rumors of the two men feuding are not true.
And it’s not also true that Trump’s relationship with Ivanka Trump was affected by his falling out with Kushner because such a feud doesn’t exist in the first place.
