Miley Cyrus has not been very active on social media in the past couple of months. And she hasn’t also been spotted in public for quite some time.

A source told Life & Style that Cyrus’ fans are convinced that she went into hiding following the split of her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus.

“She’d been hanging out with the wrong crowd at the end of last year, and her parents’ recent split sent her spiraling even more. Being trapped in the middle of their fights has never been easy. Miley has been in a really dark place and there are rumors that she sought treatment for her issues over the summer,” the source said.

During the first lockdown in 2020, Cyrus revealed that she suffered a relapse after years of not drinking. And now there are fears that the “Wrecking Ball” singer might have been drinking, smoking, and taking drugs again.

“There’s buzz that she’s been partying again. But now Miley is prioritizing her well-being and looking forward to the future,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There are a lot of reasons why Cyrus has not been seen in public in recent months. And this doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s struggling behind closed doors.

While it is true that the split of her parents must be heartbreaking for Cyrus, there’s no indication that their decision affected her to the point of relapse.

There’s also no reason for Cyrus to go into hiding so it’s unclear why the tabloid is claiming that this is the case.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the only rumor that’s been surrounding Cyrus in recent months.

In May, OK! Magazine claimed that Cyrus is upset with her ex-boyfriend, Cody Simpson because the latter keeps on talking about their past relationship.

A source claimed that Cyrus couldn’t help but feel that Simpson just used her for fame because all he wants to talk about is their past relationship.

However, there’s also no proof that this is the case. After all, it’s not uncommon for exes to talk about each other during their interviews.

But at the end of the day, there’s no indication that Simpson has been talking about Cyrus nonstop to the point that it’s raising alarm bells.
