Brad Pitt allegedly surprised his son, Maddox on his 21st birthday.

A source told Life & Style that the doting dad was hoping that Maddox’s recent birthday would be the perfect opportunity for them to reconcile.

So, he decided to surprise his eldest son with a special present and even included a note with a touching message.

“Brad sent Maddox a gift for his birthday and a loving note hoping to finally make amends but hasn’t heard anything back yet. Not even a thank you text. It’s upsetting to Brad. He really misses his son but has seemingly hit a wall,” the source said.

It’s been years since Pitt last spoke to Maddox. In fact, after he and Jolie announced their split in 2016, multiple sources revealed that Pitt had an altercation with Maddox while they were on the plane.

The incident encouraged Jolie to finally put an end to her troubled marriage. And during his interviews, Pitt suggested that his drinking might have had something to do with their problems.

But even if this was the case, Pitt was still hoping that he and Maddox could fix their issues. However, the actor also thinks that Jolie brainwashed their son to avoid him at all costs.

“Brad is accusing Angie of brainwashing their sons into thinking he’s a terrible human being. He heard through the grapevine that she’s throwing Maddox a big 21st birthday party in Europe with his siblings and friends. It’s a real dagger in the heart for Brad that Maddox didn’t extend an olive branch and invite him if Angelina doesn’t want him there,” the source said.

For now, Pitt is clinging to the memories that he has with Maddox. After all, he doesn’t have new ones to think about.

“Brad often feels nostalgic about the amazing times he had with Maddox. He had really hoped to repair their relationship,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Pitt sent Maddox a present.

And no one also knows for sure whether it’s true that Pitt and Maddox have not spoken to each other in years.

As of late, Maddox is in South Korea finishing his studies at Yonsei University. And this could be why Pitt has not seen him in a long time.
