Hilary Duff unleashed her anger as she shut down rumors that she was involved in a sex trafficking scheme.

It all started when the former Disney star posted an Instagram story that showed some photos of her children at home. One particular picture was a nude picture of her son Luca. According to Fox News, an Instagram follower pointed this our so Duff just covered the picture with a sticker.

From there, the Twitter conspiracies just blew up. Netizens were accusing the actress of child sex trafficking, even going as far as saying that she is trying to sell her 8-year-old son.

The actress could not help but clap back at all the haters, calling the conspiracy "garbage". Today reports that the Lizzie McGuire actress was really angry when she discovered just why she was trending on the social media platform Twitter.

She responded that everyone must be bored right now to come up with such a baseless and disgusting rumor. She suggests that whoever started the rumor should just take a break from their phones. Many went to her defense though, saying that child trafficking is such a reach and anyone who would do that is just disturbing and disgusting.

The 32-year-old has two kids. Her 8-year-old boy Luca is her firstborn who she shares with former husband Mike Comrie. They got married in 2010 but finalized their divorce in 2016.

In January 2017, she started dating Matthew Koma, a singer-songwriter who she worked with in her album Breathe In Breathe Out in 2015. By 2018, she gave birth to their first child together, Banks Violet Bair through home water birth. In 2019 they were engaged and married in December 2019 at a backyard ceremony.

Duff found fame when she starred in the Lizzie Maguire series in Disney, earning her teen idol status. She soon starred in other movies and also established herself as a singer.

After her series ended, she went on to other endeavors, investing in some businesses and even serving as an executive producer. Last year, it was announced that a sequel for Lizzie McGuire was in the world, with Duff reprising her role as the main character. It was planned to be shown on Disney+

But it seems like it will not be pushing through due to some disagreements. The series creator Terri Minsky left after filming only two episodes. It seems he and Duff did not agree with the PG rating that Disney will give and now the project is stalled.
