Michael Douglas is allegedly worried that his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones would end because of his aging appearance.

A source told Globe that Douglas and Zeta-Jones have a huge age gap between them. And now that the actor is 77 years old, he’s worried that his wife would leave him because he could no longer keep up with Zeta-Jones’ looks.

“She’s still so young and vibrant, it’s understandable he’s worried about losing her. A lot of his friends are convinced he’s gotten a bunch of work done to try and look younger,” the source said.

Following the couple’s trip to France, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Douglas looked so much younger and he also seemed very fresh. So, they assumed that he had some work done on his face to make his wife happy.

“Michael’s got a spring in his step and looking way less wrinkled. He’s been hitting the gym too,” the source said.

An unnamed plastic surgeon who has not even met Douglas claimed that the actor must have had Botox just because he looks much younger than he really is.

“The star’s had Botox to soften the lines on his face and for those wrinkles between his eyebrows and on the forehead. Catherine loves him no matter what, but she’s secretly thrilled to have the more sexy and suave version of Michael again,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Douglas is worried about his wife leaving him because of his age.

When the couple got together years ago, Zeta-Jones was completely aware that she and Douglas have a huge age gap. As such, it’s unlikely for her to be worried about her husband’s appearance.

And since the tabloid’s claims aren’t true, it’s also unlikely for Zeta-Jones to be secretly thrilled that her husband looks younger and suaver these days.

It’s obvious that the tabloid just made up this story about the couple because they have been thriving in recent years.

In fact, other tabloids also claimed that Douglas and Zeta-Jones were on the brink of divorce even when they aren’t just because they don’t have anything negative to say about the couple.

For now, the couple’s marriage is doing OK with or without Botox and plastic surgery.
