Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are allegedly having issues in their message and it doesn’t have to do with the singer’s drinking this time around.

An unnamed source told National Enquirer that Johnson noticed that Simpson has become obsessed with fame after she lost a considerable amount of weight and shortly after she returned to the limelight.

Now, there are rumors that Kim Kardashian is the one to blame because the reality TV star has been spending so much time with Simpson.

“Jess has been bored and craving a return to the spotlight for a while. It’s a big reason why she’s had all these cosmetic procedures and continues to lose weight. She wants to look her best when she finds the right project – ideally, a TV show that features the whole family,” the source said.

The source added that Simpson doesn’t have any plans to compete with Kardashian’s reality TV show, The Kardashians. In fact, she wants to seek the reality TV star’s advice on the segments and storylines that she and her family can include in their show.

“If anything, she’ll work with them to come up with cool segments and plot lines, and she might even take Kim’s suggestion to hire Kris Jenner as her manager. Jessica has plastered herself to Kim to learn everything from fashion to the best camera angles, and Eric’s not happy about it,” the source said.

The source claimed that even though Simpson and Johnson have been married for several years, they are still very different from one another. In fact, Johnson is way more low-key that his celebrity wife.

“He’s a low-key who’d get out of Hollywood if he could. He doesn’t want any part of having camera crews invade his home life. He’s been quite content with the way things are, but Jessica is hell-bent on seeing her name in lights. They’ve been arguing about it but Jessica is determined to get her way no matter what,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Johnson is upset over Kardashian and Simpson’s friendship.

And it’s not even true that the two women are close. The rumors about their alleged friendship just surfaced after Simpson’s daughter was invited to North West’s 9th birthday party.
