Brad Pitt Explains Donning Iconic Skirt At ‘Bullet Train’ Premiere: ‘Let’s Mess It Up’
Brad Pitt surprised the public when he wore a linen skirt at the premiere of “Bullet Train” in Germany. Days after the iconic moment, the actor shared his reason behind the move.
On Monday, the 58-year-old celebrity was asked what was the “inspiration” for his decision to wear a skirt. He initially told Variety he does not know, although he expounded further on the matter.
Mail Online later quoted Pitt, saying, “I don’t know. We’re all going to die, so let’s mess it up.”
The same outlet recalled the outfit the “Ad Astra” star wore last week, describing it as “breezy.” Aside from the brown skirt, he also donned a salmon pink button-up underneath a light brown cardigan.
The famed celebrity completed the look with a pair of combat boots, sunglasses, and a cluster of layered pendant necklaces.
Monday’s exchange between Brad Pitt and the magazine occurred at the Los Angeles premiere of “Bullet Train.” On the red carpet, he also attracted the eyes of many with his colorful ensemble.
A separate report from Mail Online said he donned a light lime green coat and matching baggy pants. As added, he partnered the pieces with a teal knit top and yellow footwear.
The outlet shared that the event marked the “Seven” actor’s return to the United States. It explained that he had been jet-setting around the globe in the last few weeks for the international premieres of his new film.
“Bullet Train” is one of Brad Pitt’s newest film projects. Reports said it is based on the 2010 novel “Maria Beetle” by Kotaro Isaka.
The title follows an assassin known as Ladybug, who tries to leave his profession behind. The character’s handler, Maria Beetle, who is played by Sandra Bullock, coaxes him into one last job, which is to board a bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto and retrieve a briefcase.
The “Fight Club” actor’s character soon learns that several other assassins are on board doing the same job.
Elsewhere in the Los Angeles premiere of “Bullet Train,” Brad Pitt also talked about his admiration for his 16-year-old daughter, especially her dance moves.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the “World War Z” actor shared that his child’s love for dance “brings a tear to the eye.” He also noted that his daughter, whom he shares with Angelina Jolie, is “very beautiful.”
Pitt continued that he does not know where her daughter got her skill from, before asserting he is “Mr. Two Left Feet” with a laugh.
The publication later quoted the actor, sharing, “I love when they find their own way, find things they are interested in and flourish.”
