Vanessa Morgan Deems Motherhood ‘Crazy’ Yet ‘Rewarding’ Months After First Childbirth
More than a year has passed since Vanessa Morgan welcomed her first child. While she admitted things have been “crazy” and “the hardest,” she described motherhood as the “most rewarding job.”
Speaking to OK! magazine, the “Riverdale” actress opened up about her experiences as a first-time mother. She stated that her son has become her “greatest teacher,” adding that seeing the “world through his eyes is a real, incredible experience.”
Morgan continued that she sees the “beauty in everything because that is how [her son] sees it.” She consequently pointed out that watching her child grow up right before her eyes is “so amazing” and the “definition of priceless.”
The magazine quoted Vanessa Morgan, as saying, “Everything is new to him, and everything is a new experience.” It continues, “My inner child has almost been woken up, and that is what life is all about.”
The “Finding Carter” actress also shared a few things about her son, who is now 1 year and 6 months old. She revealed he now says “mama,” adding that he runs around everywhere, as well.
Morgan said the things she does with her child, like going for walks, playing, and swimming, are her “favorite little activities.”
The 30-year-old actress recently shared the matter exclusively with the magazine as part of her partnership with Gold Bond’s new campaign, “My Scar, My Story.” As explained, it encourages and urges individuals to “embrace real skin and the stories it tells.”
Vanessa Morgan later told the outlet that she obtained a scar because she had an emergency C-section. She recalled hearing about the brand’s campaign, leading her to join and participate as it was a “perfect fit” for her.
This was not the first time the celebrity talked about her son during an interview.
Earlier this week, she revealed that she and her “Riverdale” co-star, KJ Apa, chat about their children “all the time” on the set of their series.
Morgan told E! News that “having somebody on set who gets it” is “nice.” She also hinted at the “I Still Believe” actor as being someone “who understands what parenting is like,” as well as the “exhaustion” that comes with it and “how beautiful” it is.
Vanessa Morgan gave birth to her first child in January 2021. She shares her son with her estranged husband, Michael Kopech, whom she married the year prior.
The two personalities first got together in July 2018, according to Us Weekly. A year later, the professional baseball player proposed to the actress, resulting in their engagement.
Morgan and Kopech tied the knot in January 2020. She announced their pregnancy in July of the same year, and days before news broke that they had split, with reports saying she filed for divorce in June.
