Naomi Judd’s Daughters Wynonna, Ashley Allegedly Feuding Over Their Mom’s Decision To Leave Her Estate To Her Husband And Not Them
Naomi Judd’s two daughters, Wynonna and Ashley allegedly found themselves in the crossfire after learning that their late mom left her estate to her husband of 33 years, Larry Strickland.
In its Aug. 1 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Wynonna and Ashley were both hoping to get a chunk of their mom’s estate following her passing. But after learning about Judd’s decision, Ashley is doing her best to accept things but the same cannot be said about Wynonna.
A source claimed that Wynonna was hoping to get at least $25 million from Judd’s estate following her demise in April. And she feels she deserves it because she helped her mom when Judd was still alive.
“Wynonna has had money problems throughout her adult life. She’s blown through nearly every dollar she made with The Judds. She even checked in to a treatment facility in 2004 for a money disorder,” the source said.
The insider claimed that Ashley’s reaction to her mom’s shocking decision was quite different.
“Ashley believes her mother knew what she was doing by not dropping a big stack of cash in her sister’s lap. But now Wynonna blames the two of them for her mother’s decision to leave everything to Larry,” the source said.
Other than Judd’s estate, the sisters are also feuding over their upcoming tour. Originally, Ashley was supposed to join Wynonna for their performance. But she was recently bumped out of the entire show.
“Ashley wants to share her remembrances of her mother with the audience. But Wynonna brought in famous country music friends, like Faith Hill, Martina McBride, and Trisha Yearwood to join her in singing The Judds’ hits – leaving no role for Ashley,” the source said.
The insider added that friends of Ashley and Wynonna were hoping that the death of their mom would bring the sisters closer to each other. But this isn’t what happened. In fact, they’re farther apart than ever before.
As of late, it’s unclear if the sisters weren’t included in their late mom’s last will and testament. And even if Strickland is in charge of Judd’s estate, this doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t give Ashley and Wynonna a part of it.
It is important to note that this is a family issue and shouldn’t be meddled with.
