Meghan Markle has been given a slew of nicknames ever since she joined the royal family. For instance, she was nicknamed Duchess Difficult because she’s reportedly difficult to work with. She was also accused of being a boss from hell because of her outrageous demands.

In its July 25 issue, Star claimed that there are a ton of reasons why Markle received the rude nicknames from her staff shortly after she married Prince Harry.

“It’s worse than anyone knows. She’s a total nightmare to work for. Nothing was ever good enough for her. When she didn’t get her way, everyone would know about it and she would scream and have full-blown tantrums. There were definitely raised voices. There’s talk she would also demand to wear royal jewels and refused to carry her own luggage,” a source said.

The source also pointed out that a lot of palace staffers who were assigned to work for Markle and Prince Harry resigned after just a couple of months.

“She fired some staff members on the spot, and at least four employees were forced to quit because of her actions. She was also a massive micromanager who would be checking in on them every five minutes. She made her employees’ lives unbearable,” the source said.

Meanwhile, the insider also accused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of giving some of their employees hush money so that they would stop complaining to the press. But their decision to do so just caused a further divide between them and the royal family.

“They were unimpressed by their lack of effort during the Platinum Jubilee, only showing up to two events. Prince William and Kate Middleton begged the queen to strip the Sussexes of their titles. But the queen has drawn the line and she just wants peace,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Markle and Prince Harry gave their former employees hush money to silence their complaints.

And it’s not also true that Markle is difficult to work with. The allegations are being made by people who refuse to expose their identities for the very reason that their allegations may have just been made up.

As of writing, no one has come forward to directly accuse Markle of being a difficult duchess to her face.
