Mike Pence Allegedly Plans To Run For President In 2024 After Refusing To Support Donald Trump
Mike Pence and Donald Trump have allegedly been at odds with each other for quite some time.
While he was still the POTUS, Trump allegedly asked Pence to support him in his illegal deeds but he refused.
And when the Jan. 6 Capitol riot took place last year, Trump ordered Pence to follow his demands. Unfortunately, the former POTUS’s threats did not scare Pence.
In its July 18 issue, Globe claimed that Pence was already plotting his plans to run for president in 2024 while was still vice president. And this is the reason why he didn’t follow Trump’s orders.
But even if he didn’t believe in what Trump stood for, Pence still didn’t testify against him because he doesn’t want to be dubbed a traitor.
“Pence didn’t testify because he didn’t want to look like he was slamming his former boss for his own benefit. But plenty of other people did it for him – whether it was feeding the investigators damaging details about Trump or painting the vice president as a hero. Pence comes out smelling like a rose and a leading candidate for president in 2024,” a source said.
One of the biggest controversies involving Trump and Pence took place last year when the former urged the latter to overturn the election results. Pence refused to do so because it was clear that Joe Biden won and not Trump.
“Now, Mike is being hailed as a hero by Democrats and Republicans alike,” the source said.
A government source also claimed that Trump needed Pence more than the latter needed him.
“That set the tone. He needed Pence to make deals in Congress and bring in cash from fundraisers. But he never filled him in on critical decisions,” the source said.
But while it’s entirely possible for Pence to run for president in 2024 and go head-to-head with Biden, the former vice president still hasn’t shared his plans with America. As such, it’s unclear if he will run for vice president or not.
It’s also unclear as to whether Pence and Trump are still feuding with each other or if they have already buried the hatchet. After all, they have both moved on from their posts at the Oval Office and are now busy with other equally important things.
