Kate Middleton, Camilla Parker Bowles Become ‘Formidable Power Couple’, Expert Says
A royal commentator recently asserted that Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles have become a “formidable” and “friendly power couple.” This comes after the Duchess of Cornwall asked the Duchess of Cambridge to do the shoot with her, taking her photos for Country Life magazine.
Writing for news.com.au, columnist Daniela Elser discussed the relationship between the two Duchesses. She stated that the two senior royals “do not have much in common [on paper] besides both having caught the eyes of future Kings.”
There is very little information on how the two future Queen Consorts have been working together behind closed doors since Prince William’s wife officially became a member of the British Royal Family. But, the expert noted that something has “clearly shifted” in the dynamic between the two working royals over the years.
Elser said that Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles have become “a formidable… and very friendly - power couple.” While she did not expound further on the matter, she pointed out that the duo “seem to really get on like a house on fire.”
Express UK noted that the Duchess of Cornwall was asked to guest-edit the 125th-anniversary edition of Country Life magazine, leading to her cover shots. As added, it also marks her 75th birthday, which is on July 17.
The said issue features photos of the next Queen Consort, noting that the Duchess of Cambridge took them.
Elsewhere in the column, Daniela Elser recalled that Camilla Parker Bowles and Kate Middleton shared a carriage during the Trooping The Colour and Garter Day in June. She deemed the two royals “a double-act,” adding that their bond is “so remarkable.”
The royal commentator explained that what makes it remarkable is that “it is an ‘abject departure’ in royal history.” She also asserted that “never before have [the public] seen an alliance quite like this of [the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall], two women who grew up sans titles and noble lineages and yet in whose hands now rests the future of the monarchy.”
Elser continued, “When the sad but inevitable comes when the Queen passes away, the coronation of Queen Camilla, and later the arrival of the new Princess of Wales, will represent a new era where the two most powerful women in the monarchy are closely aligned.”
A separate report from Express UK shared that another royal expert had similar thoughts about the relationship between Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles.
Talking to GB News about the shoot that the two Duchesses did for Country Life, Katie Nicholl asserted that it is “lovely” how the next Queen Consort asked the future Queen Consort to take the photo.
The expert also claimed that the two senior royals are “very close,” adding that they, alongside their respective husbands, have now become the new “royal fab four.”
