Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are allegedly leading separate lives.

An unnamed source recently told Us Weekly that the couple is just staying together for the sake of their children.

The insider also claimed that since Witherspoon and Toth are big-time executives, they are not very affectionate toward each other.

“Reese and Jim aren’t very affectionate with each other. They present as very cold and businesslike. The passion is nonexistent and they are living very separate lives. They’re a business partnership as much as a couple, and that’s why they’re so careful about their image right now,” the source said.

Another issue that the couple is facing has to do with Witherspoon allegedly being a perfectionist.

“She expects the best from everyone around her. It’s made her rich and famous. And people do take her seriously, but it can be exhausting to be around Jim,” the source said.

According to the source, Witherspoon is disappointed in her husband for wanting to check out of the rat race. In 2021, Toth was forced to sell his company, Quibi even if his wife didn’t want her to.

“Jim and Reese are very different people and no one knows how sustainable their situation is,” the source said.

But even if this is the case, the couple’s children are allegedly the ones holding them together.

“Jim is a very hands-on dad to their son, and that’s really allowed Reese to take Hello Sunshine to the next level. Plus, Jim makes Reese more likable. People can relax around him, which has never really been the case when it’s just Reese on her own. She can be incredibly sharp and intimidating – and Jim softens her edges a lot,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that Witherspoon and Toth were rumored to be having problems. And multiple sources have also claimed that they are on the brink of a divorce.

But over the years, no divorce has been announced, let alone finalized. This proves that the tabloids are just making up stories about the couple.

It’s not also true that Witherspoon and Toth are very different from one another. And the latter’s decision to sell Quibi didn’t take a toll on their marriage. If anything, the couple is much stronger now than they ever were before because they stuck together even after making the difficult decision.
