Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott Are Allegedly Having A Trial Separation To Save Their Marriage
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are doing everything that they can to save their marriage.
According to Star, the couple agreed to have a trial separation because they know that the space can help them out.
A source claimed that the couple has been married for 16 years and they don’t plan to get a divorce. So, they are weighing all the other options that they have right now.
“They’re cordial and perfectly polite to each other about practical matters, but the fact they’re so rarely together tells its own story. Tori’s got her life to lead, Dean’s doing this thing too and they both agree that this is what’s best for them right now,” the source said.
The source also claimed that Spelling and McDermott used to be happier years ago. But things turned sour recently.
“At some point though, it does seem inevitable that they’ll split. The hope is that they can go about it peacefully if and when that time comes,” the source said.
This isn’t the first time that Spelling and McDermott found themselves at the center of rumors.
Last month, Us Weekly revisited all the ups and downs in the couple’s marriage.
In 2009, the reality TV star released a memoir where she talked about her marriage to McDermott. She said that it was love at first sight for her and her husband.
“When someone asked, he pulled out photos of his children. And — oh, yeah — I had a husband too. It was fun to flirt, but I knew nothing would happen. But Dean and I went to a bar after dinner. And we spent the night at Cartier Place. The following day when I woke up next to Dean, I had no regrets. Something was really wrong with my marriage. Not only because I slept with this guy — though that certainly wasn’t a positive sign — but because I didn’t regret it,” she said.
Years later, rumors swirled that Spelling and McDermott were struggling financially and this allegedly caused their relationship to fall apart.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There’s no proof that Spelling and McDermott are on a trial separation. And if they are, more reputable sources would’ve already reported on it.
There’s also no proof that the couple is on the brink of a divorce.
