Kelly Clarkson Deemed Pregnancy ‘Worst Moments’ Of Her Life, And Here’s Why
Some women may likely find pregnancy journeys enjoyable. But, the case is far different for Kelly Clarkson.
Cheat Sheet unearthed an interview that the songstress did a few years ago. In that engagement, she admitted to deeming pregnancy “literally the worst moments” of her life.
The outlet quoted her saying, “Anytime I see someone pregnant, I just pray for them.” Moreover, “I wish I were that girl that [had good memories of pregnancy], but no… Don’t miss it.”
The “Because Of You” artist continued that when she learns someone is pregnant, she reacts “as if someone was in an accident,” adding that, she was like, “Oh my God.”
Kelly Clarkson made her revelations during a People magazine’s “Celeb Parents Get Real” segment in 2017. At the time, she just had her second child more than a year ago.
She and former husband, Brandon Blackstock share two children. Despite having them, alongside his two more kids from a previous partner, the singer does not reportedly miss the time when the headcount inside their home was lower.
The magazine later recalled what Clarkson had said about the time before becoming a parent. She shared that she and her then-husband “used to go out a lot more” before revealing that she misses it.
The “American Idol” winner also admitted that she was not the best at reciprocating what her then-partner did for her, specifically taking some of the load off her hands. She confessed, “I don’t really say, ‘I got this, you go relax’ often.”
Several things have since changed in the lives of Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock. The former pair went through a very public divorce in the last two years.
Us Weekly recalled that the “My Life Would Suck Without You” singer filed for divorce in June 2020, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The split reportedly came after the two personalities, along with their children, spent months living in Montana amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
A source consequently told the publication at the time that Blackstock and Clarkson “clashed on so many levels,” adding that “being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return.”
On Wednesday, Kelly Clarkson opened up about the matter during an appearance on “The Chart Show With Brooke Reese,” according to a separate report from Us Weekly. She revealed that the “huge divorce” has been “not easy with kids.”
The outlet noted that the 40-year-old artist made the response after she was asked about when fans could expect new music from her. She later added that she is “navigating what [she is] comfortable with releasing.”
