Gigi Hadid paid tribute to Zayn Malik on social media. She posted a rare photo of her child, alongside her former partner, in celebration of this year’s Father’s Day.

Mail Online reported that the 27-year-old model took her sweet greeting to Instagram Story on Sunday. She first posted a photo of herself and her own father, writing in the caption, “Happy Fathers Day to my sweet baba.”

Hadid also wrote “I love you” before tagging her father’s account on the platform.

The celebrity followed it up with a photo of her child and Malik. It features the father and daughter’s respective legs as they play with some arts and crafts materials, with the caption, “& to Khai’s baba!!!,” although she did not tag the former One Direction member.

The sweet greeting on social media comes months after Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik made headlines due to the alleged conflict within their family. It was also the same time when multiple sources revealed the pair had broken up.

Fans would recall that the 29-year-old artist was charged with four criminal offenses of harassment in October 2021. Us Weekly said it came after the alleged altercation between him and Hadid’s mother.

Following the controversy, Malik released statements, “adamantly” denying the claims. He also referred to them as “false allegations,” noting that he did not strike his child’s maternal grandmother.

When the news of the alleged altercation broke, multiple insiders confirmed exclusively to People that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik had decided to part ways for good.

Speaking to the magazine, a source stated that the two celebrities were “not together,” although they were deemed “good parents.” It was also noted that “they co-parent,” adding that “Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi,” and “she wants the best for her daughter and grandchild.”

A rep for the 27-year-old model released an official statement to the same publication, saying, “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai.” She was also stated to be asking “for privacy” during that time.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid welcomed their child in September 2020. He posted about the special occasion on social media and confirmed the exciting news to their fans and followers.

On Twitter, the “Pillowtalk” singer posted, “our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful.” He also noted that it was an “impossible task” for him “to try [to] put into words” how he was feeling at the time.

Hadid only confirmed the pregnancy days after she turned 25, four months earlier. It was just months after she and Malik had gotten back together, according to Us Weekly.
