Kate Middleton has been sparking speculations as to whether she and Prince William would still expand their family one day.

In its June 20 issue, a source told Closer UK that if it were only up to Middleton, she would love to have another daughter.

“Kate’s always been broody and would love another baby, but William would take some convincing as she’s had three tough pregnancies and he feels they’re done. Even though Louis can sometimes be a bit of a handful, Kate feels he’s growing up too quickly as he’ll also start school in September, and she wonders how empty things will feel when there are no little ones running around during the day,” the source said.

Middleton also allegedly wants Princess Charlotte to have a sister to play with. Even though she gets along well with her brothers, it would still be a great experience for her to have a sister she could always hang out with.

Meanwhile, royal author Katie Nicholl said that the Cambridge family’s popularity skyrocketed following the queen’s Platinum Jubilee. And this could be the reason why Prince William and Middleton could consider adding another child into the mix.

“The Cambridge children captured everyone’s hearts. They have helped skyrocket Kate and William’s popularity. It wasn’t expected that the children would be so involved, as we haven’t seen a great deal of them over the years. So, I think everyone was delighted to see them, and it feels like we got to know them. It was a great decision to have the center stage,” Nicholl said.

The royal author also said that royal fans saw the relaxed and informal side of the Cambridges during their recent outing. And a lot of people were also able to relate to Middleton’s struggles in handling her 4-year-old son.

As such, Nicholl said that anything can still happen in the baby-making department for the couple.

“They could go for number four. Kate has made no secret of the fact she’s broody. I do think their hands seem full with the three that they’ve got, but who knows? She’s always been extremely close to her sister – they see each other and speak all the time – and the Cambridge children are very close to Pippa and James’ children. There’s speculation that Pippa is pregnant, so I’m sure Kate will be a support to her,” she said.
