Kate Middleton’s Parents Refused To Attend Royal Events Because Of Prince Charles: Report
Kate Middleton’s parents became visibly absent from a slew of royal events shortly after Prince George was born.
In an article for Daily Mail, royal author Katie Nicholl said that Michael and Carole Middleton kept their distance from the royal family because of Prince Charles.
After the Middletons joined the Cambridges on their ski holiday that year, Carole learned how Prince Charles felt over her closeness to their grandson.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s mom was reportedly devastated to learn that Prince Charles felt he was unable to spend time with Prince George because the young royal is always with his mom’s side of the family.
A friend close to Carole said that the only thing she wanted was to be a good mother and grandmother. However, she couldn’t believe that she upset someone in the process.
Nicholl said that the Middletons’ low profile must be their way of making sure that Prince Charles and other members of the royal family won’t have anything bad to say about them.
Meanwhile, Middleton’s mom was also accused of being possessive because she and her husband always get more time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
In fact, Carole was the one that organized Prince George’s third birthday, and Prince Charles wasn’t happy. Even though he still attended the bash, Prince Charles wasn’t pleased with the fact that Carole was the one that orchestrated the event.
Michael and Carole reportedly spent the entire morning organizing the food and games for Prince George’s party. Prince Charles, on the other hand, went to a meeting at Clarence House.
Another source said that Prince Charles also wants to go on a vacation with Prince William, Middleton, and their kids. After all, the Cambridges also go on vacations with Michael and Carole.
However, it seems that Prince William isn’t interested to hang out with his dad. For the longest time, Prince William and Prince Charles’ interests have been different. As such, they don’t normally travel together.
Additionally, the heirs to the throne also have very busy schedules that make it impossible for them to travel at the same time.
However, it seems that the Middletons, Cambridges, and Prince Charles already figured out a schedule that works best for them. These days, Prince Charles is able to hang out with his grandchildren.
But, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they are all self-isolating in different places.
