Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Deemed ‘Outsiders’ In British Royal Family
A columnist recently reportedly branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as “outsiders in their own family.” This comes after their brief return to the United Kingdom for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Express UK reported that Clemmie Moodie made the claims about the former working royals in a piece for The Sun. She is said to have accused the former actress of not doing herself “any favors,” while deeming the royal-born Prince “out of touch.”
The commentator explained that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have become “outsiders” in the British Royal Family after “breaking the famous royal omertà.” She stated that the pair’s “constant jabbering, accusations of racism, varying ‘recollections of memory,’ and Harry’s forthcoming, widely hyped tome, effectively a kiss ‘n tell, have left them ostracized.”
Moodie continued that Meghan Markle has not done herself “favors” when she and Prince Harry preach one thing, then do the “polar opposite.” She reportedly cited the “jets,” “[nearly $14 million] 16-bathroom mansion,” and “clinging” to their royal titles,” as some of the bases.
She also pointed out that the royal-born Prince has “shown himself similarly out of touch” with his “talk of daily meditation and work stress.”
In the end, the columnist reportedly added that Queen Elizabeth II has “set out her stall” for the future of the British Monarchy and Royal Family. It is said that this meant “no deserters” in the future.
The report comes days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the United Kingdom along with their two children. It marked their first time to fly to the British Royals’ turf as a family.
Harper’s Bazaar said Wednesday that the Sussexes landed at a London airport. They consequently went to their official U.K. residence, Frogmore Cottage, where they stayed for days.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not, however, attend all the engagements during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. They also went back home to the United States hours before the conclusion of the historic event.
It remains unclear why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to leave the U.K. before the Platinum Jubilee celebrations officially concluded on Sunday. But, some experts have speculations regarding the move, with one claiming that the two personalities were probably “furious.”
A separate report from Express UK shared that the assertions came from expert Angela Levin. She was said to have spoken to the Daily Mail regarding the matter and stated that the former working royals likely left early after seeing the British Royals have already “moved on without them.”
Levin reportedly believes that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex thought “they would come back and be welcomed with open arms.” She also asserted that the pair likely expected “everyone would drop everything for them,” but did not, causing them to leave.
