Jennifer Lopez is allegedly a perfectionist not only with herself but also with all the men that she dates.

In its June 13 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Lopez is committed to always looking her best. As such, she recently threw away even her most expensive clothes that she feels no longer suit her.

And since she’s a true perfectionist, Lopez allegedly decided to use Affleck as her next project because she thinks her boyfriend can do better when it comes to the way he dresses.

“Jen threw out at least four-fifths of his clothes. She does the same with all her men, but insists it’s not controlling. She’s obsessed with menswear, just as much as women’s, and let’s face it, Ben’s not known for his debonair street style. De-scruffing Ben was somewhat overdue,” the source said.

The source claimed that Affleck has an idea about when he looks good and when doesn’t. So, he didn’t take offense when Lopez threw some of his clothes out.

“He knows he needed a bit of a refresh anyway. In his eyes, she can do no wrong and he goes along with whatever she says. He’s absolutely besotted,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that a tabloid accused Lopez of trying to change Affleck. In the past, there were also allegations that Lopez forced Affleck to go to the gym because he was unfit.

A source claimed at the time that Affleck gained a considerable amount of weight because he has been bingeing on food and snacks. And he also stopped going to the gym during the pandemic.

But shortly after things normalized, Jennifer Garner’s ex-husband still refused to go to the gym. And this allegedly upset Lopez that’s why she forced him to wake up early in the morning and accompany her to her workouts.

However, one should take all these claims with a grain of salt.

There’s no proof that Lopez has been trying to change the way Affleck looks and dresses. If anything, it seems that the couple accepts each other fully.

Lopez didn’t also shy away from making her feelings about Affleck known when she accepted her 2022 MTV Movie & TV Award on Sunday.

“The ones who were true, and the ones who lied to me. I want to thank true love, and I want to thank the way that I lied to myself because that's how I knew that I had to grow,” she said (via People).
